Building the Flynn Endowment
The Flynn Endowment Campaign met its first goal of raising $6 million for the Flynn Endowment in 2005, through gifts and pledges, in time to celebrate the Flynn's 25/75 Year Anniversary. As a result of our success, endowment funds are now available to support Flynn performances, residencies, commissions, educational activities, and the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival. The endowment campaign was structured to meet the prestigious challenge grants issued by the Ford Foundation, the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, and the Argosy Foundation.
For the Flynn to thrive, endowment funds need to grow over time. To that end the Flynn is focusing its efforts on the development of the Flynn Legacy Society and encourages planned gifts with the hope of doubling the endowment in the coming years.
The Flynn Center is Proud to Announce
the Flynn Legacy Society
In support of our planned giving efforts, the Flynn has formed The Flynn Legacy Society to recognize individuals who have remembered the Flynn Center with a gift through their will, trust, life insurance, or life income program. By including the Flynn Center in your estate plans, you can assure that future generations will enjoy quality performances and creative performing arts experiences that educate and inspire them. Your gift may also reduce your taxes and generate income for you.
The benefits of joining the Flynn Legacy Society include:
- The knowledge and satisfaction that you have made a lasting legacy to carry on the mission of the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts.
- Recognition of your commitment in Flynn materials, if you choose.
- The opportunity to join fellow Legacy Society members at an annual luncheon or event.
